Chick Pea Flour
Baobab Powder is the newest super fruit being introduced into North America. It is harvested from the Baobab tree grown in 26 countries in Africa and processed in South Africa. The powder comes from the seed pod which surrounds the seed. Baobab is GRAS Certified, Kosher, Certified Organic, and grown sustainably. It is considered a super fruit because it contains an inordinate amount of anti-oxidants. Each gram of the powder is rated between 650 and 750 on the ORAC Scale and is also high in fiber, calcium, vitamin C, potassium, magnesium, iron, and protein. Because of its potency, it is very economical to use especially when compared to other super fruit. The applicability of Baobab Powder is also impressive, it can be used in beverages, snacks, cereals, nutrition bars, and many other foods with the need of additional fortification. The Baobab powder is easy to use as it has a light neutral color and very slight caramel after taste which is easily masked.
Gluten Free Protein & Fiber Enriched Cookie Balls
One of the fastest growing segments in the food industry is gluten free. As many as 10% of the US population has Celiac Disease and the rest of the population also has some level of it but just doesn’t know it yet. These cookies are non-gluten cookie piece line that is very tasty and nutritionally superior to most gluten cookie pieces. The pieces are high in protein and fiber and rich in other vitamins and minerals. Utilizing a rich blend of rice flour and bean flour to attain pieces that not only taste great but have a very smooth texture and pleasant after taste. The pieces are made in 1/16th, 1/8th and 1/2 inch sizes so can be used as inclusions or coated and eaten as snacks.
Quinoa & Canahua
Quinoa: The quinoa seed is high in protein, calcium and iron, a relatively good source of vitamin E and several of the B vitamins. It is exceptionally high in lysine, cysteine, and methionine-amino acids which are typically low in other grains. It is a good complement for legumes, which are often low in methionine and cysteine.
The protein in quinoa is considered to be a complete protein due to the presence of all eight essential amino acids. Some types of wheat come close to matching quinoa’ s protein content, but grains such as barley, corn, and rice generally have less than half the protein of quinoa.
Quinoa also contains albumen, a protein that is found in egg whites, blood serum, and many plant and animal tissues. The seeds are gluten-free, which makes this a nutritious and flavorful alternative grain for those with gluten sensitivity. Quinoa would be a worthy addition to anyone’s diet, supplying variety as well as good nutrition.

Canahua is virtually unknown outside of its native Altiplano Andean growing region in Bolivia, where it is fair-trade harvested by indigenous nations. Canahua is related to quinoa – its more recognized cousin – and is distinguished by its high protein content and its complete amino acid profile, as well as its high content of magnesium. It is also gluten-Free and allergen-free. And in contrast to quinoa, canahua does not have the protective saponin layer, making it easier to work with as an ingredient.
Canahua is most frequently offered as a powder (or flour) made from the crushed, toasted grains. A versatile additive, canahua essentially is a supercharged, allergen-free supplement to mix in with smoothies, yogurts, hot cereals, soups, or formulations desiring an extreme protein and nutrition boost. Teff-International exclusively sources its product from Blonk. Blonk/Cylteff is a pioneer in offering guaranteed good quality teff grain. Not one truckload of teff leaves our premises if the destination is not known to us. Most of the teff is used by the very demanding Ethiopian consumers who know exactly what good teff is, and of course, they deserve the best to produce their world famous injera. Most of the time the teff is milled by the customer, but Blonk/Cylteff can offer the teff milled by their own (non gluten free)partner Los Pisones in Zamora. The teff can also be offered in flakes, gluten free flour or extruded. In the overseas markets, we are trying to have all the primary processing of grain into ingredients be done by local processors. This has to do with issues like limited shelf life and local food regulations.
